Twice in a row...

My boss asked me and Sarah to order a copy of a specific textbook for each person in our department (6 people). Of course, good employees that we are, we got right on it. Turns out the hardcopy book is too expensive and he prefers the ghetto ass international paperback edition. We “initiated the return” on the bookstore website and this is the response we got:

Hello,
I would like to know that why have you initiated a order cancelation
and refund request for 6 process heat transfer? This was a special
order and meets the softcover international edition and thus I won't
be able to accept this return from you
Thanks

The situation is better than the note...

My most darling boss has asked the young engineers of the dept to CC him on EVERY email we send out of the dept, and for most we need to review with him first for content and style. This is because we have not yet learned the appropriate way to communicate with others, and we have no technical skills. Here is part of a note that he wrote to one of Shells technical consultants (that's SGS to you Jenny) instead of letting another young engineer do it, because said engineer is just too dumb...

"As always appreciate to get your thoughts on this matter, a writeup is appreciated."

Thanks fatty patty, you are a gem.

You mean "whom do what," right?

Let’s get together tomorrow morning, 9:30pm, at the corner office (Rm 1003) to talk about this , and who do what.

A apologies

[r.e. what the fuck kind of basis did you use to size this valve that you put on our equipment?]

At the time when we add the relief valve, we were looking at having two relief valves one each bank of the trailer. Then we change to a single valve at the inlet to the trailer. At this point I should have increased the flow rate of the relief and or the size. A apologies for this over site. I am working on the corrected actions and well give you a up date this afternoon.

[vendor]
(p.s. he informed us later that he used "pressure and steam" as a sizing scenario. if anyone knows about RVs, you know that's not a basis. to add insult to injury, the installed valve is only appropriate for liquid and the set pressure is too low.)

La la la-al laaaaa

[Boss];

We finally got the [job] contract. I will have [sub-boss] sing it for you and open a new PAWS for the job.
